A young prince grows up

You know you're getting older when the future kings start looking younger.  And you know you're really getting older when the future kings who looked young start looking older.  Prince Christian of Denmark turns eight today and in the photos taken to mark the occasion, he's suddenly looking very grown up indeed.  And very like his dad.

The pictures were taken by Crown Princess Mary to mark her eldest child's birthday.  The baby known as 'Lilleprinsen' when he first arrived is now turning into a young man.
