They are known for their penchant for colour matching with the man of the house mixing his ties to co-ordinate with his wife's outfits.  But King Felipe and Queen Letizia's latest game of shade snap ended up being a very bright affair.

Hosting a lunch for the President of Honduras and his wife, the queen chose a bright pink dress that she's worn for official visits before.  Her husband picked a tie in the same shade making sure no one could miss this bright and bold couple on their latest appearance.

It certainly added a splash of colour to the first day of October as the two, with big smiles, posed for photos alongside their guests.  The striking image perhaps indicates how confident the newest monarchs in Europe are feeling as they pass the milestone of the first 100 days of their tenure.
