Royals at Easter

The Easter break has been quiet on the royal front but there have still be a number of appearances around Europe.  The Prince and Princess of Monaco watched the traditional Good Friday processions from the balcony of the Royal Palace. The couple, who became parents to twins at the beginning of December, witnessed a custom that dates back to the 13th century.

The royals were at Windsor Castle where the Queen traditionally keeps her Easter court.

Spain's royals attended Easter Mass at the Cathedral of La Seu in Mallorca. King Felipe, Queen Letizia and Queen Sofia along with Princess Leonor and the Infanta Sofia arrived at the church at midday. There were criticisms in some parts of the local press that the monarch and his family didn't stay on the island longer.
