Sweden's Royals sparkle at Nobel Prizes

Sweden's Royal Family have helped celebrate the Nobel Laureates of 2015 and they did it in style. Led by Queen Silvia in red, the family sparkled at the annual prize giving and banquet.

There was a double dose of baby bumps too as two expectant princesses made their appearance. But while Victoria, due in March, already looks ready to pop, Sofia, due a month later, was showing off the littlest of curves in her tummy.  And while both looked great, they had to make way for new mum Madeleine as fashion star of this year's awards.

In dove grey lace with a Russian style tiara set with aquamarines, Madeleine stole the whole show. Understated elegance and then some.

Sofia, meanwhile, showed she's adapting her own style to the demands of dressing royally by choosing an unusual black dress that ticked pretty much all the boxes from her selection last year but looked just a little bit more princess.

dress, like that of 2014, was one colour with a sheer top covering her shoulders in the same shade. But while 2014 looked ever so slightly like a sweet wrapper on holiday, 2015 was princess perfection. And she did what all new royals love to do, added on her wedding tiara and glowed with happiness. Rather lovely.

Crown Princess Victoria, meanwhile, went for purple which is always a stand out colour and as it was covering a very impressive baby bump she really did stand out. The dress, with added layers at the back, was a stunner.

The colour suited, the style suited and despite protestations otherwise it must have started off a whole new round of twins rumours.

Queen Silvia opted for red and while her dress was comparatively low key to some of those she has chosen in previous years, it was sleek and elegant and rather eye catching.

With a neat little bustle effect at the back and square cut top it had an air of Princess Lilian about it and that is no bad thing. And just like every public appearance since early autumn when we found out she is going to be a granny again, nothing compared to the huge great big grin on Silvia's face. If you think this family look good now, wait til 2016. With at least two more new members, they are going to glow.
