The Royal Week in Numbers

The Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark at Royal Ascot this week

So many royal events this week, how do you keep track of them all? How about numbers. With debuts and jubilee events and official visits going on just about everywhere, here's a quick catch up of some of the regal stories of the past seven days - it's the royal week, in numbers.

The number of high profile royal debuts we got at Royal Ascot on day two. As the carriages appeared on the famous racecourse, it was hard to keep up with the new faces at this traditional royal event.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had to wait until carriage number four of the royal procession to make their much heralded first appearance as the second produced a big surprise with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attending too. William, Kate, Frederik and Mary were all Ascot newbies on day two and they provided a right royal afternoon of entertainment as they made the debuts.

The number of days the Jubilee Tour of Norway being undertaken by King Harald V and Queen Sonja will take.

The royal couple , who this week welcomed US Secretary of State John Kerry to Oslo, are heading off to Tromso, Bodo, Trondheim, Bergen, Stavager and Kristiansand as part of the celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the accession of Harald as King of Norway. The trip lasts from June 18th until June 29th.

1781

The year in which the Eisinga Planetarium in Franeker was completed - King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima visited it this week as part of their tour of North Friesland.

The royal couple toured the building, which is now on the list to become a UNESCO World Heritage site, in a day that also included a visit to Harlingen shipyard, a sustainable tomato plant and an education campus.

2030

The year by which the United Nations is hoping to achieve a list of goals linked to sustainable development - this week, Queen Mathilde of the Belgians took part in a series of engagements linked to this aim.

Mathilde, who is a UN ambassador for sustainable development, met the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon, and attended the European Development Days event where she gave a speech touching on several issues including the importance of education for young girls and women.

The number of Instagram followers the Danish Royal Household has already gained in the two weeks since it joined the social media site.

They've enjoyed 22 photos from the royals so far including a series this week linked to Queen Margrethe's regular visit to the Faroe Islands which took place over the past seven days.
